The Llongarriu manor house or simply Llongarriu is an emblematic historic country house of Old Catalonia, a living testimony to the passage of time and the rural elegance of our country. Although its first stones date back to the medieval period, the current building is the result of the reforms and extensions carried out from the 18th century onwards, at which time the house acquired its noble character that still endures today.

Its rehabilitation as a hotel began at the beginning of the 21st century with a clear purpose: to preserve the historical soul of the farmhouse. Each space has been restored respecting its original volumes, light and atmosphere, combining contemporary comfort with the authentic beauty of a building that is part of the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
Crossing the main door of the farmhouse is like taking a journey back in time. The space leads to the old main room, one of the heart of the house, which preserves the original restored wooden floors and ceilings. Presiding over the room, as was customary in large Catalan farmhouses, the Virgin Mary continues to observe the passing of the years.
On the same floor, the noble structure of the house is displayed: the old exit open to the outside with views of the Empordà plain, the intimate and secluded chapel that preserves its original restored frescoes, the historic kitchen with the open fire, the bench, the wood-burning oven, the economic kitchen and the large stone sinks where clothes were once washed, as well as the gentlemen's dining room, a space that reflects the social and family importance that the farmhouse had for centuries.
Llongarriu also houses an outstanding art collection that accompanies the visitor throughout the entire period. Its rooms bring together works by some of the most important Catalan landscape and sculpture artists of the 19th and 20th centuries, establishing a constant dialogue between heritage, art and landscape.
The collection includes works by Joaquim Vayreda, Josep Berga i Boix, Joaquim Llimona, Modest Urgell, Josep Clarà and Enric Casanovas, among other masters of Catalan art.
